Juicy Mohawk Treat

Just had to share...

Izmoto turns Tres

My little baby is all grown up. He actually asked for a Birfday party this year so I gave in. We had a whole yard full of kids and parents and craziness. As you can see, Isaac loves the ladies...

He loved EVERY second of his party and, almost a month later, he asks for his next party. He plays birthday party, and wants me to make cake with MaKeen and Mater on it. Thanks to his generous friends he got every toy, bike, skateboard, goodness he could have ever dreamed of...and more!

Liv had a GREAT time..."Mom, do I have to go to IZ's party?"

Swaney Family Vacation

Back in June we took a family vacation. We went camping at Carlsbad for five days with our friends, the Rimoldi's, and then off to a condo in Oceanside for a week with the whole Swaney family.

Some of the Carlsbad highlights: Liv likes camping, Isaac is more connected to the hip, than ever before, to Julia Rimoldi and Ruby's makes a mean Sundae.

The Swaney gathering would not be complete without a trip to Legoland.

Dad Swaney retired and we had a big shindig at the Jolly Roger. I believe that he truly enjoyed himself!

With Em and fam in town, and Mike and his family, Punky and Bobby, it was a large and lively group. Fun was had by all.

Reunited

As a child one often has a best friend. Mine was Kim Boland. I think we became friends when she was 2 and I was in my mother's womb, or something like that. Some of my earliest memories with her have to be camping at Indian Hills, deciding that we were tomboys, riding our bikes all over Coronado, and the Nature Company wands. I think that the last we really hung out was in high school. Now, 10 or so years later, we have reunited. We both have kids now and my youngest is just a few days apart from her son. She happened to be in town and we hooked up. Our time was filled with conversation...after all we had 10 years to catch up on. I am looking forward to a lifetime friendship and am happy that we are connected again! Here is my youngest with her only.

Here we are then and now!

Auntie Jill Comes West

So Jill was in town back in May. I am just now catching up with all the blogs, so you hear about it now. It was good to see her and Squeezy.

All the grandkids united for a Cousin Photo.

With Seth at the camera we took a family pic and set Motes and Cakes up for one seriously precious picture!

Mother's Day Weekend

The McDougalls came to visit this weekend. Fun was had by all. We decided that since Darby and Liv were going to be best friends for life they would need baby bathing time pictures to laugh at when they are older! Isaac wanted to get in on the action but the sink just wasn't big enough!

Miss and I picked up matchy matchy outfits for the girls for the photo shoot. Isn't Isaac the man!

One of Isaac's latest joys is playing with his trains...especially when he is having his picture taken. He gave me a card today with a smiley face inside...it was so cute that I think I will scan it tomorrow and post it. Maybe...

Enjoy!

Getting Ready for Summer

Here we go...number 3. It is going to be a dandy. Just set up the kiddie blow up pool for Motes and Cakes (Isaac and Liv). Now all that IZ wants is the dang pool. He wakes after naps and night asking for the pool first time. I am basically having to shove food into his mouth to get him to eat (not really). Liv loves it as well, well at least until she decided to go under...don't worry, I caught her on the downfall. Here is a cute pick of the kids all geared up to take the plunge as well as the plunge itself.

Why I will blog.

So I created a blog and realized that I never really liked journaling which, unfortunately, is all that blogging really is...plus everyone reads it. What kind of a journal is this?! Mainly it is for my sis to keep up on the Swaney happenings while she is so far away in Maryland.

I feel like my life is continually the same and predictable. Maybe I will save the posting for when I have some juicy information!

Things that I am looking forward to: School being out (work done), Jill coming in May, Ian, Miss, and Darbishire coming in May, and Beach condo-ing in June when Em and the fam come in from Minnesota. Lots of family stuff to look forward to.

Time flies...
